There are few arguments on the internet that are more fiercely fought than the US vs. UK food wars. More often than not, it seems like we just can't wrap our heads around the dubious delights of one another's cuisines. This makes it all the more special when we put down the Red 40 and the jellied eels and show some cultural appreciation to each other for once.

This is exactly what happened recently in a charming Twitter thread, where a British woman expressed her long-held desire to visit the USA and have bacon, pancakes, and coffee in a traditional diner. Americans and Brits alike supported this dream, with many of her fellow countrymen revealing how they had done exactly what she wanted to do when they visited the States. It's nice to know that despite all the animosity, we can find some good things to say about each other's food.
